What's in a class?

Each class combines yoga for mums and yoga with babies/toddlers. Postures are demonstrated with and without baby - you decide how much you'd like to include and interact with your baby. There's a central cushioned area with toys for older babies, or use your own blanket/buggy/capsule. We finish with a cuppa and a catch up.
What are the classes like?

Very informal, and there is absolutely no pressure or expectation for your baby to behave in a certain way. Classes can often be unpredictable with a wonderful combination of sleepers, feeders and criers! The babies come first and it is a fully inclusive environment.

What if my baby needs to sleep or is grizzly?

Babies can sleep in their buggies or capsule, while you practice. If your baby is hungry, then feed as normal and join in when you're ready. Grizzly babies are often easier to manage as there are lots of distractions in the class - you are in a fully supportive environment where nobody minds how loud your baby is crying!
Baby yoga - what's that?

Baby yoga introduces yoga to your baby or toddler in the form of playful movements. We also use rhymes and actions in order to include the babies in our practice. Babies love the short bursts of baby yoga - these parts of the class are often interrupted with peels of laughter!

Is my baby too young?

It's a good idea to wait until your baby is at least 6 weeks old. This gives your body time to heal naturally and allows time for you to adjust & bond with your baby. If you have had a caesarian then it is best to wait for 8 weeks after the birth. Older babies are welcome to start at any time. Check with Honor if you're not sure.
What do I need to bring?

Mats are provided but you are welcome to bring your own. Bring a blanket and a buggy or capsule if your baby needs a nap. Bring your baby or toddler's favourite toy or book.

Do I need yoga experience?

We run mixed ability classes, so all levels of experience are welcome. Due to the nature of the class (and sometimes the noise of the kiddies!), we do our best to give as much individual attention as possible.

It's important to let us know of any problems you or your baby have experienced since pregnancy. We can then adapt your practice where necessary.
